Fiona Braidwood, a Year 13 student at Churchill Academy, was involved in a car accident on Wednesday 30th March. The police were called at 9am.
Fiona sadly died as a result of her injuries. Her friends and the wider community are shocked at the death of the teenager.
Chris Hildrew, head of the academy wrote to parents and children that “As a community we will support one another in this difficult time. Staff have been on hand to help students affected by this news, and will continue to be available to all those who need it. Students have been supporting one another in friendship. This is a tragic loss to our community, and all our thoughts are with Fiona’s family and friends.”
Avon and Somerset Constabulary have issued an appeal for witnesses. They are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident. Anyone with information can call the collision investigation unit on 101, quoting log 176 of 30 March
