Winegrower celebrates medal winning wine

A North Somerset vineyard, Sutton Ridge celebrated winning three medals for three new wines recently.

Luke Ford, founder of Sutton Ridge near Blagdon has won two silver and a bronze medal for his new wines and celebrated at The Wine Shop, Winscombe a few days ago.

Luke said “Our launch really topped off a fantastic week for us which started with the great news that we had been awarded with two silvers and a bronze for our wines in the first national competition we have entered. It has been over eight years hard work to get to this stage and I’m extremely grateful to all the family and friends who have helped make the dream of Sutton Ridge Vineyard a reality.”

Luke has three new wines, his 2015 rose, the 2015 white and 2013 sparkling and entered them all in the United Kingdom Vineyard Association 2016 annual competition.  He won silver medals for the white and rose, and a bronze for the Family Reserve Sparkling White.
