Cross villagers get an eyeful

The village of Cross is most noted for being somewhere that people drive through as they commute on the A38.

Away from the busy main road, however this beautiful, well-kept village boasts stunning topiary.  The trees have been there for some time and are not visible from the A38.

Cross sits under Crook Peak, and its neighbouring village, Compton Bishop’s most famous resident was Frankie Howerd.
